Dr. Laura James

Laura James, MD

Laura James, MD has studied mechanisms of acetaminophen liver injury for the last three decades. Her research program in acetaminophen toxicity has been funded by the National Institute of Diabetes, Digestive, and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) since 1999. In 2006, she co-founded Acetaminophen Toxicity Diagnostics (ATD), LLC, to develop a novel laboratory test, AcetaSTAT, for the rapid detection of acetaminophen toxicity. Dr. James is Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) College of Medicine and a faculty member in the Division of Toxicology within the Section of Emergency Medicine at Arkansas Children’s Hospital (ACH).

Jack A. Hinson

Jack A. Hinson, PhD

Jack A. Hinson, PhD is a Distinguished Professor Emeritus in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He has co-authored over 75 peer reviewed research manuscripts on acetaminophen metabolism and toxicology.

Dean Roberts

Dean W. Roberts, PhD

Dean W Roberts, PhD was a Senior Research Scientist at the FDA’s National Center for Toxicology for 30 years.  His research interests include Immunotoxicology, antigenic biomarkers of toxicity and immunoassay development.
